(Warning: this will be a long post)
So I have decided to compare my two favorite shows on Netflix (and of all time): Stranger Things and The Umbrella Academy. I actually know which one I like better, but this will be fun to do anyways. There will be 9 sections, each one will have a winner: at the end, which ever one has the most wins is the better TV show. Please remember this is only my opinion. (The nine sections I put together randomly)
#1: Emotional Scenes
This is hard because I think both of Of the shows emotional scenes are, well, emotional. However, I think there are more emotional scenes in Stranger Things, at least that I can remember, then the Umbrella Academy.
Winner: Stranger Things
#2: Fight Scenes
This section is kind of easy. The fight scenes in Stranger Things are good, but the fight scenes in The Umbrella Academy knock it out of the park. Especially with the music that goes along with it.

#3: Music
When I was thinking of music, I wasn’t thinking of the track, but the songs they use in the show. This is hard, but also easy. I love how they use 80s music in Stranger Things like Should I Stay or Should I Go and Running Up That Hill, but in the Umbrella Academy the way they use music is awesome. During fight scenes, or other serious scenes it really helps to make the scene even better. And the choice is music is also incredible.

#4: Plot
This one is so difficult! I love both the plots! Stranger Things is cool, with the monsters and stuff and how everything ties together. The Umbrella Academy is also cool, with the prospect of time travel and powers and the way everything gets explained is great. So this is going to come down to one thing: in the Umbrella Academy, everything gets revealed perfectly and it all makes sense. Stranger Things makes sense but there is tons more questions and things about the Upside Down that don’t make sense. This might be explained later, and my opinion but might change but for now...

#5: Drama
Don’t get me wrong, Stranger Things has tons of drama. But the Umbrella Academy...
I mean, literally the quote on the poster for the show is “super dysfunctional family”. So this one is kind of easy. Sorry Stranger Things.

#6: Humor
The Umbrella Academy can be funny at some parts, but I think Stranger Things takes the cake on this one.

#7: Characters
This is so hard! I love the characters in both! However, in The Umbrella Academy the characters are complicated. I think that makes them slightly, and I mean slightly more interesting then Stranger Things. And they are really fun to watch, also! Stranger Things characters are cool also,but I feel like Stranger Things focuses more on the plot, while the Umbrella Academy focuses a lot on both the plot and the characters.

#8: Acting
I think this one is the hardest for me. Both of the shows have astounding actors! However, like I said before, I think Stranger Things focuses more on the plot. Which means the actors don’t have to do as much. But The Umbrella Academy the characters are the foundation of the story. And they all have perfect chemistry, they all have the ability to create complicated characters and can act perfectly even though the characters might be different then they are in real life. From Five and Vanya to Hazel and Cha-Cha, every single character in The Umbrella Academy has amazing acting while I notice some characters in Stranger Things not have that good acting. I know most people probably disagree with me on this one (and probably numerous others on this list) but that is my opinion.

#9: Episode Titles
This is hard. The Stranger Things episode Titles are great but they also start with the word “the” a lot which gets annoying. However, every episode title in the Umbrella Academy is creative, and all are unique, like there is even one based off a song that played in that episode. So yea.

With a final score of 7-2, the winner and best show is: THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY!
I know most people disagree with me, but in my opinion The Umbrella Academy is way better.
