Throughout Welcome To Eden[]
África was invited to an exclusive party on a secret island run by Eden Foundation to help them promote their new energy drink Blue Eden.
On her arrival, when walking through the detectors, they beeped indicating that she had a device, but she convinced the officers that it was because her boots had metallic spikes.
África performed during the party.
The next morning, África and the other four chosen people Zoa, Aldo, Ibón, and Charly woke up on an empty beach. A drone came to guide them and the five followed the drone. They reached an area with all the party staff and Astrid waiting for them.[1]
After the tour of Eden, África directed to Module 6, where she would be staying in.
The next morning, Ibón and the other new members got their blood drawn and put on uniforms.
Erick caught África attempting to use her phone on the beach. He explained that there was no signal and confiscated her phone. He also told África that she couldn't smoke on Eden. Erick then showed África a tattoo on his ribs, which said "Juntos en el paraíso," which means "Together in paradise." He explained that it was the first thing Astrid said when they arrived at Eden. África then told him that she had a tattoo of a dollar sign.[2]
Ulises told the 5 new people that a boat would arrive the next day at noon to take them home.
During the farewell party, Astrid chatted with África. She told África that her followers don't actually care for her, and that she is protecting the people of Eden from the real world. Astrid invited África to her place and introduced her to Erick. Erick invited África to stay in the guest room and talked to África about his childhood. África also admitted that she didn't have a good relationship with her family, and Erick reminded África that she had a family at Eden.[3]
The next morning, África woke up and joined Astrid and Erick for breakfast. Astrid told África that Mayka had the paperwork to make her decision official. África was confused, but Astrid explained that África had agreed to stay at Eden the night before. África did not recall this, but Astrid and Erick pressured her into signing a contract for her to stay at Eden for a year. África and Mayka later crafted África's last message to her followers.[4]
Seeing how close África and Erick had become, his wife Astrid was uncomfortable and asked Erick to treat her like everyone else. Erick requested for África to sleep in Module 1 during the storm like the others. África was unhappy about this, and Erick explained that only level 3 residents could stay at their place. Since África was still at level 1, she needed to prove herself useful to Astrid and Erick to move up in level.[5]
África suggested to Erick to hold a party celebrating the anniversary of the Eden Foundation, so that he could build an image of a caring leader. África offered to organise it, and Erick agreed.
During the preparations for the party, África ordered Ulises around, annoying him.[6]
One night, the four new members, Zoa, África, Charly and Ibón, went through an initiation process to signify them joining Eden. They needed to walk across burning coal and get a necklace. While África walked over the coals, her pants caught fire. She managed to reach the end and collapsed. Erick immediately rushed over to help her put out the fire using his jacket, much to Astrid's dismay, as she was already concerned about how close they had become. The four then got a star tattooed onto their wrists to show that they were at level 1.[7]
