Alma is a character in Welcome To Eden. She sees herself reflected in the ideals of the Eden Foundation. She is portrayed by Irene Dev.
Biography[]
Alma is a member of the Eden Foundation.
She was assigned as Ibón's "link", meaning that she was tasked with developing a relationship with him and keeping him on Eden.
Throughout Welcome To Eden[]
Alma sees herself reflected in the ideals of the Eden Foundation.
At the party, Alma and Ibón talked. When Fran, a bartender, refused to serve a partygoer a bottle of Blue Eden, she gave the man a bottle of Blue Eden herself. In a tent, she watched as Ulises beat Fran and attempt to drown him for disobedience, but were interrupted by Judith. Later, Alma informed Brenda that Judith had walked in on Ulises drowning Fran. The next morning, Brenda killed Judith.[1]
While playing the piano, Ibón walked into the room. He was able to identify that the song was by Erick Satie. Alma discussed her interest in melancholic music, and Ibón complemented her piano playing. Alma encouraged Ibón to play, and while playing, Ibón explained that the last time he played, he got beat up. Alma assured him that no one at Eden would do that to him.[2]
Ibón had become smitten with Alma and willingly decided to stay at Eden. She and Ibón went to Astrid's place. While waiting, Ibón noticed that the large painting on Astrid's wall was a copy of "Landscape with Charon Crossing the Styx" by Patinir. However, the painting was a fake as it had been altered so that Charon is looking at heaven instead of hell.[3]
After Ibón and Zoa returned from the cave, Alma was suspicious of Ibón.
Later, Zoa tried to kill Nico, and it was witnessed by Alma.[4]
Alma saw Claudia stop Zoa the night before, so she approached Claudia to ask what they spoke about. Claudia refused to speak about it and asked Alma to go away. Alma reminded Claudia about what happened to Fran after he tried to help others, and Claudia got angry. Alma later reported this to Astrid.[5]
One night, the four new members, Zoa, África, Charly and Ibón, went through an initiation process to signify them joining Eden. They needed to walk across burning coal and get a necklace. The four then got a star tattooed onto their wrists to show that they were in level 1. Eva and Alma were promoted to level 2, and Ulises was promoted to level 3.[6]
Personality[]
Alma appears to be sweet and caring, especially when around Ibón. However, as she is loyal to the Eden Foundation, she follows the rules closely and will report those who break the rules. She was present when Ulises beat up and attempted to drown Fran. When Alma reminded Claudia of Fran's death, Claudia became angry and Alma reported this to Astrid.
