Aoy is the protagonist of the Thai drama movie Hunger. She is portrayed by Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying.
Biography[]
Aoy is a talented young street-food cook. She is extremely talented at cooking and inventing dishes.
As the oldest of three siblings and with an aging father, Aoy has automatically stepped into the role of guardian of the family. She is sometimes tired and weighed down by family responsibilities. She works in their small restaurant, making traditional soy sauce stir noodles (rad na) and stir-fried noodles (pad see ew) in Bangkok’s old town.
Aoy works hard to save up to support her sister's nursing education. Aoy laments to her college friends, who have office jobs.
Aoy pushes herself to the limit after accepting an invitation to train under an infamous and ruthless chef named Chef Paul.
Throughout Hunger[]
One day, Aoy serves food to Tone, a young chef working for Hunger, Thailand's number one luxury Chef's table, run by the celebrated Chef Paul. Aoy joins the team, and it seems like a dream come true. However, Paul is ruthless and pushes Aoy to the limit.
