Countess Louise Gundemann, later known as Baroness von Sina, is a character on The Empress. She is portrayed by Svenja Jung.
Biography[]
Louise is a countess who Emperor Franz Joseph had an affair with prior to his engagement to Elisabeth.

Season 1[]
Louise had an affair with Emperor Franz Joseph, but their relationship ended after Franz's engagement to Elisabeth.[1]
Theo informed Franz of Louise's arrival. As Franz had not returned her letters, she came to see him, but Franz insisted that their relationship was over.[2]
Archduke Maximilian invited Louise to the ball after Franz and Elisabeth's wedding. During the ball, Louise kept staring at Elisabeth and Franz. Elisabeth asked Franz if he knew her. He told her he didn't, but Elisabeth wasn't convinced.
Later, while Franz was in a meeting, Elisabeth went looking for him. She bumped into Louise, who warned Elisabeth.
Franz attempted to negotiate a loan with Baron Georg von Sina. He initially did not have much luck, but Sina agreed to loan the money after some persuasion from a woman, revealed to be Louise.[3]
Later, Baron Georg von Sina cancelled the loan because Franz broke his promise by sending sizeable troops to the border. As a last resort, Franz asked to meet Louise, who was now engaged to Baron Georg von Sina. Franz asked her to help to convince the baron to assist with the loan. When Louise wanted Franz to beg, he did, and Louise asked that he repay her someday. She then kissed him, but they were interrupted by Theo bringing news of the incident at the foundry.[4]
