Eileen Sun is a character in the action crime series The Brothers Sun, who is portrayed by Michelle Yeoh.
Biography[]
Eileen is the mother of Charles and Bruce Sun. For decades, Eileen and her husband Big Sun worked their way up from poverty and build up a criminal empire in Taipei, known as the Jade Dragons.
When Eileen fled Taipei, she and their youngest son, Bruce, started a new life in Los Angeles and cut off contacts from her past. Bruce grew up in sunny Southern California with no memory of his early years in Taipei.
After Eileen and Bruce left, Big Sun's cruelty and list of enemies grew. Eileen and Big Sun's oldest son, Charles, followed in Big Sun's footsteps, becoming his obedient associate and a feared gangster. Charles' knack for violence that takes him far in the family business and becomes notorious among the triads of Taipei for being a ruthless protector of his family's interests.

After the attempted murder of Eileen's husband Big Sun, who was a powerful figure in the Taiwanese triad, Eileen's oldest son Charles returns to Los Angeles. His mission is to protect his family, while navigating the treacherous waters of his father's legacy. Charles' younger brother, Bruce, grew up completely naive to his family's criminal empire and dark history. Charles' arrival in Los Angeles throws Bruce into a world of crime and danger, for which he is completed unprepared for. Bruce is forced to confront a legacy he never knew and a destiny he isn't sure he wants, causing a shift in his perception of family and identity.
