Eli is a 5th grade student at [[Fort Myers Elementary School]]. After his teacher [[Mrs. Salinas]] goes on maternity leave, the class is taught by [[Virginia Malkin|Ms. Malkin]].

Eli brings the class tuatara, [[Leo (Leo)|Leo]], home for a weekend and befriends Leo. Eli is keen for more independence from his drone.

==Personality==
Eli's parents are overprotective. They spray him with sanitizer and force him to wear protective suits during play dates. They also have a chart on the wall showing all of Eli's [[wikipedia:Allergy|allergies]]. Eli is followed around by a drone, which does tasks for Eli and ensures his safety. However, this drone limits Eli's independence and hinders his ability to make friends and Eli's mom makes. Eli wears a [[wikipedia:Hazmat_suit|yellow biohazard suit]] because lizards can carry diseases.
