Episode 4 is the fourth episode of the first season of the Netflix series Zero.
Synopsis[]
Omar suddenly remembers what Dietmar told him before he died, possibly identifying who could be behind all the attacks on the neighborhood.
Plot[]
The opening scene shows how, in a flashback, Omar's mother leaves the house, and, while Omar was capable to get in her car trying to follow her, he notices she was caught by the police, but also he notices Thierno was also there in that moment.
Omar tries to discuss with Thierno related this situation, Omar confesses that he was there that day and he saw Thierno in the place. Thiermo remarks to Omar that she was trying to run away as long as she was becoming crazy affirming that Awa has been possessed by a demon, this enrages Omar, and the two fight.
Omar decides to put his things together and leave the place, but Thierno obliges Omar to give him his passport addressing him that "he will not go so far". While this happens, suddenly Awa begin to feel bad uncapable to see and having a terrible headache, but Omar did not hear her angered by the discussion.
Meanwhile, the mafia takes revenge of the Instagram story uploaded by Sharif by vandalizing the record room leaving Sara desolated. The gang reunites there and Sara yells angrily to Sharif due to his irresponsible way to brag about their poker victory.
Later, Omar confides to Sharif that he was angry because he disappeared in front of Anna and ran away scared of the place, prompting Anna to end their relationship. Even worse, he is now homeless as he decides to move out of his house. Sharif decides to help his friend and allows him to stay in his home.
Once at home, Omar meets Alfonso, Sharif's older brother. Alphonso feels uncomfortable about his brother new guest and asks Omar to pay money to stay. He then comes back to continue spending the day with his mistress. Sharif confesses to Omar that her mother tends to work the night shift in a hospital that allows him to do not spend the time studying or working, while also worried about Alfonso as long as he was just came out of jail due to drug possession, but his presence is pissing him.
Hearing this, Omar came to the realization what Dietmar was trying to telling him about "Fidel Castro pissing him on his head" and he tells Sharif about it. Sharif thinks that someone that has a cigar tattooed to his penis would be the one that attacked Dietmar so they decide to put together the gang and look for the suspect.
Later, Omar has a chance encounter with Anna, she and Omar tries to clarify what happened that night, but Omar is unable to tell the truth, both leave heartbroken.
The gang is put together, and surprises Sara with a repaired recording studio even adding a brand new mixer. Sara is happy with the new devices. Then the band begin to discuss about the tattoed man, and Sara has an idea, to go to a tattoo parlor to ask one of the employees, Marieme, about a client that would tattooed a cigar. When they reach Marieme, she pretends to be busy, and later, to not want to share information of her clients, but Omar claims to her that the information is going to be well used. Marieme, seeeing Omar's sincerity, provides them some info.
Meanwhile, Inno, tries to get the interview to get a visa, but is rejected, then when he goes to the soccer club to his daily training but he is dismissed by the trainer due to his constant late arriving while Inno is uncapable to explain why.
Omar and the gang arrives to a home where the suspect, a Cuban man named Rico is living. He is shown trying to get her mistress to bed, but she is trying to study. Omar infiltrates the place and manages to help Rico convince his woman by throwing her book to the pool without them noticing him. They go to bed and Omar follows them. When they are about to have sex, Omar tries to peep them to see if Rico has any tattoo, but he notices something better: the head of the Immigrant statue.
He took it and begin to move away, but suddenly he appears in front of a small girl. The girl, surprised, asks him to show how he did that. Omar, relaxed, disappears again and manages to escape, while the girl calls Rico and tells him about a disappearing man.
The gang comes back to Barrio and leave the head in the statue while they celebrate. Sharif tries to take a selfie, but then Sara tells him that, as long as they are getting involved in something more serious, they should play low for now. Sharif returns home and try to leave some of his friends money in his secret bag, but he is approached by Alphonso that retrieves the money.
