Preceding his malfunction, he acted like the rest of the robots, ruthless. After a giant object fell on him and Eric, he appears to have malfunctioned, causing him first to glitch out and act kinder / more helpful, and eventually act as a part of the family. He's a bit overdramatic than Deborahbot 5000 to discourage the Mitchells.
