History

Georgetown University is attended by politics and art student Maddie Redfield. She is the daughter of US Vice President Ashley Redfield. While on campus, Maddie is followed by her security detail, including Chelsea Arrington and Chelsea Arrington.

Maddie's art professor, Paulo Bonetto, begins a romantic relationship with Maddie. It is later revealed to be a ploy to trick Maddie into meeting him at his place. As Paulo is the leader of New Leaf, a climate organization that lobbies for environmental justice globally, he and Matteo Worley wanted to recruit Maddie to amplify New Leaf's message.
