Griselda is an ambitious and ruthless drug cartel leader. She is a devoted mother to her three sons, Dixon, Uber and Ozzy.

In 1978, Griselda left Medellín, Colombia for Miami, Florida. She sought to build a new life for her family in Miami, after leaving her ex-husband Alberto Bravo. Alberto pressured Griselda into sleeping with Alberto's brother to pay off a debt, after Alberto lost several shipments of drugs.
Griselda brought a kilogram of cocaine with her and temporarily stayed at her friend Carmen's house. Carmen kicked Griselda out of her house upon learning that Griselda was still dealing drugs.
