Hilda is Connie's sister. She lives in Venice with her husband.
Throughout Lady Chatterley's Lover[]
Hilda travels to see Connie and worries about her relationship with Oliver. She finds out how isolated and depressed Connie has been looking after Clifford. She hires Mrs. Bolton, Clifford's childhood nursemaid, to be his caretaker.
While she isn't fond of Clifford, she worries that Connie's affair with Oliver Mellors may only make things worse.
