John David Washington is an American actor and former American football running back. He was born on July 28, 1984. He is the son of Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington. He was part of the cast of the HBO comedy series Ballers.
His breakthrough came playing Ron Stallworth in Spike Lee's 2018 crime film BlacKkKlansman, for which he received both Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. He starred in the 2020 science fiction action-thriller film Tenet directed by Christopher Nolan. He portrays Malcolm in Netflix independent drama movie Malcolm & Marie.
