Lena Beck is a character in the German psychological thriller miniseries Dear Child, who is portrayed by Jeanne Goursaud.
Biography[]
Lena Beck was kidnapped 13 years ago and forced to live in captivity. At the time, she was pregnant with Hannah, who was fathered by her ex-boyfriend Florian.
While in captivity, Lena gave birth to Hannah, Jonathan and Sara. After giving birth to Sara, Lena and the baby both died from childbed fever, as her captor refused to get a doctor. After her death, Lena's captor kidnapped another woman and forced her to assume Lena's identity and raise the children. Her captor continued doing this after each "Lena" died.
While in captivity, Lena, Hannah and Jonathan were forced to abide by strict rules. Every time their captor entered their bedroom, they had to show both sides of their hands.
The final woman to be kidnapped and forced to live as Lena was Jasmin Grass.
Throughout Dear Child[]
In a flashback, it is revealed that 13 years ago, Lena accidentally locked herself out of a house while dog sitting. In an attempt to open the door, she set off an alarm. Lars from the security company showed up to unlock the door for Lena, and they both ate ice cream inside the house.
Before Lars' death, he revealed that Lena was buried in the garden by the house.
