Plot[]
Former Hollywood actor Katherine is bedridden when she awakens in the hospital. After being struck by a car, she developed locked-in syndrome, which limits her movement to her eyes alone. We learn the circumstances surrounding Katherine's hospitalization from her caregiver, Nicky. When Nicky sees the right letter—which Katherine is exchanging with her via letter board—she blinks, claiming that a murder has occurred. We get to see glimpses of Katherine's life shortly after she adopts Lina, the daughter of her deceased best friend, through flashbacks. Lina looks up to Katherine and develops a fast bond with her son Jamie, who suffers from a severe illness. Later on, to Katherine's dismay, Lina and Jamie tie the knot. Jamie is the heir to his late father's manor, where they all reside. Tragedies befall Katherine's family while Lina grows closer to Robert, Jamie's doctor, as their relationship deteriorates.[1]
