Marvel's Luke Cage, or simply Luke Cage, is an American action series written by Cheo Hodari Coker. It was a joint-venture between Netflix and ABC Studios and premiered September 30, 2016. The series focused on an ex-convict who fought to clear his name, whilst also saving his neighbourhood at the same time.
It is based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the franchise's films and the third in a series of programs that led to The Defenders crossover miniseries.
In December 2016, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, which was released on June 22, 2018. Following tension and differences between Netflix and the writing team, the series was cancelled by Netflix after two seasons on October 19, 2018.[1]
