Plot[]
John Luther and Odette Raine are Detective Chief Inspector working together to track down David Robey, a millionaire cyber killer with a taste for sadism. David is a maniac operating a twisted "red room" that streams horrific violence around the world. He tries to find a community on the dark web to exist within and operates as if he's trying to draw an audience, much of which is born out of his loneliness and isolation.
John Luther and Odette Raine go to Estonia to track David down. When they enter the "red room", David has abducted Odette's daughter Anya and threatens to suffocate her.
Luckily, John has information from David's ex-wife, Georgia. As he reveals David's name and insecurities on the live stream, he makes a desperate escape, with Luther in pursuit. Odette and Anya are left behind to escape Robey's incineration trap.
At the end of their chase, Luther and Robey both wind up plunging beneath the surface of an icy lake, where David drowns. Meanwhile, John is picked up by his old friend Martin Schenk, and brought to a mysterious new location.
