Manifest is an American supernatural drama series created by Jeff Rake. The series follows a group of passengers and crew who went missing but suddenly reappear after five years.

The series premiered on September 24, 2018 to June 10, 2021 on NBC. On June 14, 2021, it was announced that NBC has opted not to renew the series for a fourth season.[1]

The series actors all participated in the #SaveManifest campaign, which helped keep the show at the top of the Netflix streaming rankings — and ultimately bring it back from the dead.[2]

Netflix US and CA licensed Manifest in June 2021.[3] NBC opted to not renew but the show blew up on Netflix enough to justify bringing it back. The first and second season were released on June 10, 2021 on Netflix and immediately topped the viewing charts. The third season was released on August 22, 2021. The series will be available exclusively on the streamer worldwide.

On August 28, 2021, it was announced that Netflix has closed a deal for a super-sized fourth and final season of the series. The announcement of the fourth season pickup by Netflix was made on so-called “828 Day” (8/28) — when the series about the mystery of Flight 828 is celebrated annually — at 8:28 AM PT. The fourth season will be comprised of 20 episodes. The 20-episode season will be split into multiple parts.[4]
