Monchi is the Mitchells' plus wobbly-eyed dog.

Throughout The Mitchells vs. The Machines

Monchi was part of the family's road trip. Once at the dinosour themed rest stop the PAL Max robots attack. As people are forced into the containment shells, Monchi walks into one completely unaware of his surroundings. Luckily Linda and Aaron were able to pull him down as he was still attached to his leash. Later in the movie Monchi is used as a defense mechanism for Katie and her family. Because of his appearance he caused the PAL Max robots to malfunction. Disabling them while Katie attacked the robots. At the end of the movie, Katie attempts to drop PAL into the pool, she misses and now Monchi is tasked with catching it. This sence is the only one in which Monchi is able to straighten his eyes. He misses Pal but ends up knocking her into a glass of water. Disabling her and causing the end of the PAL Max robots control.

Physical appearance

Monchi appears to be a pug with peach fur, a black nose, big eyes, and a brown face. He has the ability to glitch robots just by being in their optic sensors' reach.

Trivia

• Monchi is not an actual member of the real Mitchell family seen at the end of the movie. He is actually the movie replacement of the baby also seen in the photograph.
• Monchi has trouble looking straight as seen at the beginning of the movie.
• The robots can't tell if Monchi is a pig, dog, or loaf of bread.
