A dream involving Brister and his platoon fighting in the Vietnam War is shown. It depicts him being disparaged by his racist subordinate whom he later saves, but is stabbed in the neck because of his actions. Awakening from his dream, Brister finds himself in the Curandera house. He's attended to by the healer named Garabina while Garcia stands idly by.

Meanwhile, the siblings decide to find out who killed their master Chiu. Isabella after finding their master's book now rather burnt, believes that whoever was after their master, will be after them too. This is because of their relationship with their master. With no leads to help them find the perpetrators, Jesus finds the still active finger of Jaimito. Switching back to the Curandera house, the two police officers ask for information on the monster that ravaged San Simon recently. Performs a dowsing ritual with the help of Garcia, Garabina sees El Balde who, in turn, see her as well. A small brush with a skull on the tip of the handle and a small necklace with dog tags on them is given to the police officers. Garabina claims it's for their protection and asks that they leave.

In the San Simon church, priest Padre Serrano gives a sermon and recounts the recent tragedy that occurred in the town. The siblings soon arrive in the church and after the sermon services, they speak with Padre at a room in the back of the church. There they discuss the monsters that killed their master and how Jesus captured a finger belonging to one of the monsters. During a ritual prayer by Padre, the finger escapes, catches on fire, and Silencio squishes the finger into ashes with a bible. Elsewhere, Garcia and Brister drive together in their police car back to San Simon. The two discuss their endeavors involving Brister's time in Vietnam and the hardships that Garcia had to deal with being a policewoman. Back to the church, Padre serves the siblings a stew dinner and then lectures them on "Light & Darkness after hearing Chiu's alignment with the two elements.

At the Curandera house, Garabina is engulfed in an envisionment of when Balde was a young boy and kills his father under his mother's behest. This is followed by how to save his mother's life, Balde encases his mother in the statue of Santa Nucifera with a green lotus medallion. Switching over to Garcia and Brister who visit the site of the siblings home, now burnt and in ruin. Back to the siblings at the church, Isabella confines her thoughts and emotions about everything that has happened to them up to that point to Silencio. On the other hand, Jesus while trying to find the toilet, finds a room filled with stockpiles of cocaine and weapons. Astounded by this revelation, Jesus informs Isabella about his findings and Silencio overhears it. Immediately the siblings confront Padre and his priests and realize he killed Chiu. Padre then orders his men to kill the siblings who, in turn, retaliate against them. As this goes on, Brister and Garcia arrive outside the scene and head over to the church to see what's happening. In the process, Silencio kills Padre and the police officers barge into the church and try to arrest Silencio. He, however, escapes with Brister on his tail.
