Podestà is the main antagonist in the of the movie Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio. He is voiced by Ron Perlman.
Biography[]
Podestà is a fascist government official who helps run a youth camp to indoctrinate young boys in Italy. He tries to exploit Pinocchio into becoming a child soldier in the war, as he sees Pinocchio as a potential foot soldier who will never get tired or die.
Podestà is the father of Candlewick and spreads propaganda throughout the town.
