Roberta is a heroin addict who frequently goes in and out of rehab, leaving her two daughers Zoa and Gabi to raise themselves.

Roberta is addicted to heroin and frequently goes in and out of rehab clinics. She frequently asks her daughter Zoa for money. She and her husband separated when Zoa was 12 and when Gabi was 9.
Robert was on a phone call with Gabi, and Zoa refused to speak to her.[1]
Gabi called Roberta, telling her about Zoa's disappearance. Roberta assured Gabi that she would look for Zoa. Later, she went to Gabi's place and gave her a sweater as a belated birthday present. She told Gabi that she had contacted the police about Zoa, and was not concerned since Zoa had run away before. Gabi became angry and decided to look for Zoa herself.[2]
Gabi and Roberta talked to a police officer about Zoa's disappearance. The police officer recommended looking through Zoa's things to find clues. After talking to the police, Gabi went to the ATM to withdraw some cash. Gabi initially wanted to withdraw €20, but Roberta urged Gabi to withdraw the limit of €500. Roberta took most of the cash and left.
Gabi later confronted Roberta about using drugs again, but she insisted it was just alcohol.[3]
