Seán is the biological son of Seamus Gallagher and Fiona Doyle. After the chaos of the Samhain Festival, while Fiona was pregnant, she sought refuge at the Inish Mac Tire convent. Mother Bernadette, Sister McDonagh and other nuns hid her away. Fiona died while giving birth to Seán.
