Stranger Things is an American science fiction horror television series created by the Duffer Brothers for Netflix. The first season was released onto Netflix July 25, 2016 with the second season releasing October 27, 2017 and the third July 4, 2019.

The series is set in a fictional town in Indiana, Hawkins, USA and follows the lives of friends Will Byers, Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson and Lucas Sinclair as they navigate the teenage world. Their worlds, however, are turned upside down when Will mysteriously vanishes and all fingers begin to point at nearby Hawkins National Laboratory, which unknown to the public, has been performing human experiments under the guise of scientific research for the United States Department of Energy.

Things begin to change when the remaining trio meet a mysterious girl, Eleven, who is able to interact with the supernatural world and is blessed with extraordinary supernatural abilities. She aids the trio in finding and rescuing Will and bringing him back to the real world.
