Sun Wukong is a main character in New Gods: Nezha Reborn. Sun Wukong is a masked monkey man believed to be the Six-Eared Macaque but he's actually The Monkey King, impersonating the Macaque similar to how Macaque pretended to be him in the original journey to the west. He agreed to help Li Yunxiang with his fire powers in exchange for modifying his bike and building it, bonding with the young adult over the time building the bike and through Li Yunxiang mastering his powers. also known as " The Masked Man " in the credits in reference to him.

Sun Wukong, also known as The Monkey King or The Masked Man in the credits, has a unique appearance in the movie ( and bonus in the second movie )
he is seen as having brown hairy body fur all over, but having hairless soles of his feet and hairless palms and the rest of his face besides his mane and eyebrows and cheek fluff, being very lion like in nature to his mane. but having a white mane, being very dandelion like in tufts but appearing course, almost like textured hair. without his mask, he is seen as having wild cheek fluff, long thick eyebrows that blend into his mane at the end, and a full mane beard out of fur. seeming to lack a tail, but having tusk like fangs at the top and bottom of his jaw, him also having brownish gray eyes, he is seen as having peach fuzz like hairy long pointed ears, sometimes in pairs of 3 on each side in his " six eared macaque " bit and impersonation, choosing to impersonate the Macaque in his assassination work he does from time to time with Ao Guang, a major villain in the film New gods: Nezha reborn. Sun Wukong implied as impersonating the Macaque similar to how the six eared Macaque appeared as him in the original journey to the west book and story, he otherwise only having 1 pair of ears being long and come into a sharp point that he can transform back and forth at will with his fingers. seen doing so upon his reveal of the fact he was infact Sun Wukong the monkey king to Yunxiang Li, the protagonist in the movie.
Sun Wukong also has little double out line square or diamond tattoos on his hands and fingers, being 6 in total, being his thumbs, pointers, and ring fingers only, having brownish black nails with his slightly larger then average hands,
he is seen always wearing his signature blue and gold Oni Mask, which has a cog on the side which when turned changes the eyes expressions, but otherwise paired with it he is seen often wearing two iconic and recognizable sets of clothing in his appearances mainly being :
he in public usually wearing his two piece tailored Bal Collar Blazer and pink trousers pants. paired with black oxford shoes leather shoes with sharp stud spikes along the heel with leather gloves with skulls and cross bones on them with studded spikes along the knuckles with the fingers of the gloves cut off considering his larger hands, wearing golden bangle bracelets upto his elbows with two chunky gold bracelets with green gems along them and several golden chains and gold pendants around his neck draping down his chest, the two pendants being of side profile skulls
other times at home in the water plant/factory he resides in he is usually seen wearing a short blue silk robe with blue pink flower print shorts and a long yellow quilted robe over top with flip flops ( or thongs depending on your region. )
he ultimately seems to choose to abandon his Oni mask after the movies finale, tossing it over his shoulder onto the road along with his metal rod he is seen using as a weapon or head scratcher into the oceans water after the villains defeat, appearing in the second movie bonus clip as lacking his Oni mask entirely, seeming to have given up the Macaque impersonation entirely after Ao Guang and Ao Bings defeat, instead choosing to even in public have his face visible.
although he is seen now wearing a cream white fadora hat with a salmon pink stripe on it in place of his signature oni mask in the bonus clip. He is seen sleeping with it over his face during the story telling bit before taking it off and leaving with Li Yunxiang as he explains the real story when questioned if the story was true.
Personality[]
Sun Wukong in the movie has a very eccentric personality, speaking very animatedly, heard laughing quite a bit and making whooping sounds similar to a monkey, acting as a mentor to Li Yunxiang, being helpful and also a relaxed teacher, he is a very all over the place person, but in certain scenes he is seen as being serious at the drop of a hat, usually choosing to be all smiles and laughter. He is known to work for Ao Guang once in a while for assassination jobs or similar work from context clues from the dragon king during the movie, quoting that if the price was right he would follow through. He is the incarnation of the unexpected, getting the drop on his little protege Yunxiang often. Usually not taking alot seriously.
Powers[]
he is seen as having few powers now, or at the least just having no need or want to use them, the power we see the most of being his ability to control metals, seen throwing and tossing the little metal rod he carries around and summoning ot back to his hand, also during his explanation of how to put yunxiangs fire out, covering him in pieces of iron and steel with this metal magnetic like ability from around the garage storage area. Otherwise he is seen as having acrobatic skills, which could be tied to him being a monkey or a celestial immortal.
