The Soul (Traditional Chinese: 緝魂; Simplified Chinese: 缉魂; Pinyin: Jī hún) is a Chinese-Taiwanese mystery film directed and written by Wei-Hao Cheng. It relates the story of a mysterious murder of a business tycoon in the near future and a controversial technology of memory transplants for rebirth. The cast and crew are mostly from Taiwan and the movie is adapted from a 2012 award-winning novella by Chinese sci-fi writer Jiang Bo.[1]
On January 15, 2021, it was released in mainland China and on January 29, 2021, it was released in Taiwan. The Taiwan release was exclusively released globally on Netflix on April 14, 2021.
