Through My Window (Spanish: A Través De Mi Ventana) is a Spanish teen romantic film directed by Marçal Forés. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Ariana Godoy.
The project began filming on March 14 and is produced by Nostromo Pictures.
On February 16, 2022, it was confirmed that Through My Window would get 2 sequels.[1] On April 29, 2022, the name of the first sequel was confirmed to be Through My Window: Across the Sea (Spanish: A Través del Mar).[2] It was released on June 23, 2023.
On February 23, 2024, the third movie Through My Window 3: Looking at You (Spanish: A través de tu mirada) was released.

Raquel is madly and irrevocably in love with Ares, her attractive and mysterious neighbour. The thing is, she has watched him from afar because, much to her dismay, they haven’t exchanged a single word. But Raquel has a very clear mission: to make Ares fall in love with her. However, she is not an innocent, helpless girl and she is certainly not prepared to lose everything to achieve her goal, most importantly not herself…[3]
Plot[]
Raquel starts narrating the story of her life. In a classroom, we see her refusing to read her assignment as even though she knows how to write a story, she isn't brave enough to tell what she has written and throws it away instead. She then says that her story doesn't start in this classroom, it actually starts in her house. Her house, as she describes, is a humble abode that, through ups and downs, ended up surrounded by an empire called the Hidalgo mansion. The Hidalgos are her next-door neighbours, but their lifestyle is completely different from hers. The Hidalgos own Alpha 3, one of the most influential companies in the country, whose headquarters is the most spectacular building in Barcelona. Alpha 3 refers to the three heirs to the empire, the Hidalgo brothers, Artemis, Ares, and Apolo. Raquel has an unhealthy obsession with Ares but has never said a word to him. She knows everything he does and likes to collect information about him.
When Raquel's internet is starting to act up, she looks outside and finds out Apolo, the youngest neighbour is using her Wi-Fi. He thanks her for letting them use her Wi-Fi as theirs is broken. She is confused and finds out later that Ares has hacked into her computer and cracked the Wi-Fi password. In the midst, Raquel's close pals, Yoshi and Daniella, are introduced. Raquel is given a nickname by Ares after confronting him about the Wi-Fi. Her nickname is 'Bruja' translating to 'Witch'.
The same day, after school dispersal, Raquel stalks Ares by lurking under the bleachers before the game. An abrupt downpour makes the game dismissed, and Raquel finds herself following Ares into a secluded wooded area, where she confronts him about hacking into her computer. In response, he writes the password on her hand and asks her why it is a code that says, 'Ares, Greek God'. They exchange words, which leads to Raquel admitting that she likes him and wants him to fall for her. He doesn't respond to her confession and they leave. At night, she unplugs the Wi-Fi router to assert that it is her who is in control of it, but Ares climbs up her window into her room and plugs it back in. They share a steamy moment that leaves Raquel wanting more. The next day, Ares invites her to a party where she seduces him but doesn't let him get what he wants.
Later, she befriends the younger Hidalgo boy, Apolo, and buys a drink for him as no one is allowing him to have one. Apolo gets too drunk and doesn't want to go back home, afraid of the reaction of his father. She takes him to her place with the help of her best friend, Daniela. On the way to her place, Apolo accidentally breaks her phone, and Apolo, in his drunken state, expresses his interest in Daniela. Meanwhile, Ares figured out where his little brother would be and climbed up her window. He states that until their father goes to work, they can't go back home. Ares opens up to her about his grandfather's death and how he too has potentially life-threatening allergies just like him. His allergy is chlorine and that's the reason their pool consists of salt water. Later, he asks Raquel to climb along into her bed and shares a steamy moment with her with a wasted Apolo in slumber.
The next day, Raquel and Yoshi return to her home to finish homework. However, she finds a mysterious packet on her bed along with a note, which turns out to be Ares, gifting a new phone to her. She leaves Yoshi in her room and marches to his door to return it and discovers he's on the phone with a girl. He quickly hangs up after he sees her and eventually they hook up. Afterwards, there seems to be something wrong with Ares. He immediately starts up a video game and ignores Raquel. She grabs her things and runs home impulsively, losing her locket between his couch cushions.
The next day Raquel is in her writing class. She texts Daniela, before getting a picture sent by Ares. He is shirtless and wearing her lost locket around his neck. She decides to go to his house, where there happens to be a private pool party. A small group is playing 'Never have I ever...' at the poolside, in which it gets clear to the others Ares and Raquel hooked up. Ares also gets the question if he ever went down on a woman, but he denies and states that the practice is too private for hook-ups. He throws Raquel in the pool later and when they get out she asks where her locket is. He tells her it's upstairs and she goes to grab it. In his room, she asks him how he feels about her. He doesn't respond to her question and instead they hook up again.
The next morning, he leaves his room with Raquel waking up alone and naked in his bed. His older brother Artemis helps Ares escape their house as Claudia tells Raquel Ares had to leave. Ares hides outside of the Hidalgo estate as Apolo disapproves of his actions when walking by. A disheartened Raquel, along with Daniela and Yoshi, watch a movie and go to a party to help her move on after the abrupt ending of the fling with Ares. At the party, however, Raquel sees Ares kissing another woman, which evokes her to spend time with her friends in order to get over him. Meanwhile, Daniela shares a steamy moment with Apolo, who is mesmerized by her, before kissing someone else and leaving him wondering. Yoshi shares a dance with Raquel in the meantime.
The trio later go to the school pool, and Yoshi and Raquel share a chat. It's clear Yoshi has some feelings for Raquel but he stops the conversation abruptly by letting himself fall into the pool. Daniela, who tries to turn on the bubbles in the pool, accidentally made the pool water turn brown. The three of them quickly flee the pool before anyone finds out they snuck in.
On the contrary, Ares leaves the party with the girl he was seen kissing with. He tells his driver to bring the girl home and steps out of the car. He goes up to his room alone and immediately starts up his computer to hack Raquel's new Wi-Fi password. He finds out she changed it to 'Gilipollas' which translates to 'Asshole'. He texts her after explaining how she makes him feel things he never felt before, but she doesn't respond. It's not until after he hears her coming home, drunk and catcalled by strangers on the road, explaining the lack of a response. He takes it upon himself to go to her and help her, so he brings her home and lays her down in her own bed. She asks him drunkenly to stay and tell her a story, which he does, about himself and how he found out his mother was cheating.
Raquel wakes up to her mother getting her breakfast and medicine. She has two notifications from Ares but both messages are deleted. Ares wakes up and leaves for his father's home office, where he is reminded of the talk they had when Ares was much younger and found out his mother was cheating. The talk mainly consisted of the reminder that he isn't allowed to love someone as love makes him weak. His father and older brother name all his future responsibilities and forbid him from seeing Raquel again.
Ares and Raquel meet again in the library where Ares admits his mistake and tells her he's sorry. He invites her on a date to an upcoming costume party which she accepts. It is shown that Yoshi has seen the encounter and has walked away jealous. Raquel isn't aware of this and comes to find him. There he mentions to her that she is worth more than Ares and he doesn't approve of them dating. He admits that he has always had a crush on her, but won't be her friend if she continues dating Ares or if he breaks her heart.
Ares, dressed up as a Greek god, comes to pick up Raquel, dressed up as a witch, to go to the costume party. In the car, he admits he changed the plans and prefers something more intimate instead. He brings her to the rooftop of the Alpha 3 building, where a picnic is set up on the Helicopter platform. They have dinner and Ares then goes down on Raquel on the rooftop and later on the Ferris wheel. They are shown to have sex in the Ferris wheel, the school showers, in a car, a public restroom, and both their rooms.
Ares is later shown footage of security cameras on the rooftop, by his dad during dinner. He is again made aware of the responsibilities and the fact he went against their ruling. Ares flees the dinner table and goes to Raquel's work to apply for a job at her workplace to pay for medical school and reject his father's plan to make him go to business school at Stanford, USA. His older brother sees him working there, but doesn't interfere.
Ares brings Raquel to a formal Alpha 3 party to introduce her as his girlfriend to his parents. His parents complain about the catering before is shown that it is Raquel's mother that is hired as the caterer. Raquel is in shock when she finds out his parents aren't aware she was coming and that her mom is present at this party. She leaves but stops in the elevator to ask Ares if he truly loves her. Ares doesn't respond and seems to be in doubt, which is the reason for her to leave. Artemis catches up with Ares after the elevator doors are closed to point out that he broke their agreement.
At home, Raquel is crying and avoiding her mother. At school, Yoshi is avoiding her profusely. Apolo asks Daniela to prom but she rejects him. At work, Ares tries talking to Raquel and asks her to prom too. She declines his offer and asks him not to come. He defeatedly suggests she goes with Yoshi as it's clear he likes her. Yoshi is later shown delivering a cake to the Hidalgo's when he overhears them speaking on Ares accepting the offer to go to business school at Stanford. Ares seems happy but is doubtful after finding out Artemis had hired the catering at the Alpha 3 party, seeing a pattern with Artemis obstructing his relationship. Raquel shows up at the gathering at the Hidalgo's to talk to Ares but isn't allowed by Artemis.
Raquel goes to prom instead, hoping to see him there. Ares is shown to leave his house running to school to attend prom as well but he is held back by Yoshi who confronts him with all he had overheard. Yoshi pushes him into a nearly empty pool that has just been filled with chlorine and returns to Raquel to dance with her. Ares tries to escape the chlorine water by climbing out of the pool as it fills up but is unsuccessful.
Yoshi admits to fighting with Ares near the pool when dancing with Raquel at prom. She immediately panics and runs towards the pool. There she sees Ares floating in the chlorine water. She grabs him out of the water and an unconscious Ares is escorted out of prom by paramedics. He had experienced a severe anaphylactic shock and his father blames Raquel.
Ares wakes up in the hospital with Raquel beside him. He tells her he truly loves her before she kisses him in return. He had to stay under observation in the hospital for two weeks before he could return home. There it's shown the priorities of the Hidalgo family have changed after this accident. With the persuasion of Raquel, the family has approved of Ares' request to go to medical school. The school, however, is in Stockholm, Sweden. Raquel brings him to the airport with her mom, where Ares admitted to have broken his Wi-Fi purposefully to meet and talk to her as he, like her, also had a crush.
4 months later, we see Raquel finishing the book about the love story between Ares and her. Her book is called 'A través de mi ventana', which translates to the title of the movie 'Through my window'. She reads it out loud in a library which ends in applause. When she goes home, she texts Ares before he surprise visits her in her window and they kiss.
