Warrior Nun is an American fantasy drama series created by Simon Barry, based on the comic book series created by Ben Dunn.
The series follows a young girl who wakes up in a morgue, seemingly not dead, to find she has developed strange, supernatural abilities.
The series was canceled by Netflix following its second season. The cancellation was met with widespread outrage from fans, who began a massive, global campaign to save the series. On June 28, 2023, it was revealed by showrunner Simon Barry that the efforts had paid off, though the details were vague, other than it being certain that the third season would not come to Netflix.[1] As of August 24, 2023, both of the original seasons remain available to stream on Netflix.
On August 15, 2023, it was revealed via the site Warrior Nun Saved that the franchise would return as "a trilogy of feature films." No further information was stated other than it was possible that other projects could follow, due to the ongoing writer/producer and actor strikes at the time.
