William Farrow is a character in the British drama thriller series Obsession. He is portrayed by Richard Armitage.
Biography[]
William, a renowned doctor, is at the height of his career. He just successfully performed a 14-hour brain surgery on conjoined infants. He and his wife, Ingrid, are devoted to one another and their grown kids, Jay and Sally, are proud of him. William leads a seemingly perfect life as part of London's upper class. However, when William meets Jay's soon-to-be fiancée, Anna, everything changes. William and Anna soon begin a passionate affair that jeopardizes their relationships with everyone around them.[1]

When first introduced, William appeared to be man with a highly successful career as one of London's best surgeons and a beautiful family. However, his personality takes a drastic turn upon meeting Anna, becoming absolutely infatuated by her, despite her being the love interest and fiancée of his son, Jay. William could not stand living without Anna's presence in his life and they began a passionate affair, despite knowing there would be repercussions for them and their loved ones.
William became obssessed with Anna to the point of following her and Jay to Paris, despite Anna telling him that she is the one who decides when they meet to avoid gettijg caught. Eventually, the truth came to light and William and Anna's secret relationship came to an end upon the unexpected and tragic death of Jay. Though he initially looked guilt-ridden over his son's death, William refused to let his affair with Anna be in vain and went so far as to track her down. Much to his disappointment and sadness, Anna refused to continue with him and warned him to never find her again, leaving William heartbroken. Despite this rejection, William purchased Anna's former apartment so he would have something that would always remind him of their connection.

William is a tall and handsome man with a lean, athletic build, combed brown hair and blue eyes. Aside from his doctor attire during work, he often wears button-up shirts with blazers and tailored pants but for more formal occasions, like the cocktail party in which he met Anna and Jay's funeral, he dons a black suit.
