Biography

Wood Sprite is a fairy who brings Pinocchio to life, so he can keep Geppetto company, despite being not allowed to meddle in human affairs. She convinces Sebastian J. Cricket to take care of Pinocchio, by promising to grant a wish.

Throughout Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio

When Pinocchio dies while trying to save Geppetto's life, Sebastian uses his one wish to bring Pinocchio back to life. The Wood Sprite grants this wish.

Physical appearance

• • • Her appearance is a humanoid with two main pairs of wings that have eyes on them (as well as three additional smaller pairs of wings that covers her face and breast), a feathered snake-like tail, and a human-like face that resembles a mask; her appearance is reminiscent of the biblical angels called seraphim.
